Studying at the Rumelifeneri Campus has been an incredible experience. The faculty is world-class, and the classes are small enough to allow for real discussion. As an Erasmus student, I was impressed by how modern the labs and library are. The only downside is the distance from the city center, but the forest surroundings and the view of the Black Sea make up for it. It truly feels like a top-tier global university.

The academic workload here is no joke—be prepared to study hard! However, the "KU Global Aid" and other student clubs are very welcoming to international students. I lived in the West Campus dorms; they are very comfortable and have great sports facilities like the pool. The shuttle system is reliable, though the commute to Taksim can take over an hour during traffic. It’s a perfect place if you want a serious education in a beautiful setting.

I came here for my Graduate studies, and the research funding and facilities are superior to many European universities. The professors are very well-connected internationally. English is spoken by everyone on campus, so there was no language barrier in my studies. The Health Sciences campus in Topkapı is also very impressive and high-tech. I highly recommend Koç for anyone looking into STEM or Social Sciences.

The campus life is very active with many festivals and events. I loved the Spring Festival! The facilities are 5-star, especially the gym and the dining hall options. My only warning to new students is that the area around the campus (Sarıyer/Zekeriyaköy) is quite expensive. Make sure to manage your budget well. Overall, the international office was very helpful with my visa and residence permit process.

Koç University offers a very safe and enclosed campus environment, which I really appreciated. The library is open 24/7 during finals and is the best place to focus. The architecture is beautiful, and the technology used in classrooms is very advanced. I also enjoyed the diversity; I met friends from all over the world. It’s definitely the most prestigious private university in the country for a reason.
